Director of Bands: Matthew Sadowski
A graduate of Michigan State University and a native of that state, Mr. Sadowski began his teaching career in Oregon in August of 2008 at Newport High School in Newport. Mr. Sadowski leads the concert and marching bands at Westview High School, and teaches Advanced Placement Music Theory. A euphoniumist and pianist, he has recently performed on tuba with the Pacific Coast Wind Ensemble and the Cornucopia Brass Quintet. The Westview band program continues to expand its reputation of excellence throughout and beyond the Portland area under his direction. Email: Matthew_Sadowski@beavton.k12.or.usAssistant Director of Bands/Director of Jazz: David Bryan In addition to being the Assistant Director, Mr. David Bryan leads Westview�s outstanding Jazz band program. He is a freelance trombonist in the Portland Metro Area. He currently holds positions as trombonist in the Portland Opera, Oregon Ballet and Portland Jazz Orchestra. He has a variety of teaching positions to his credit including adjunct faculty at Oregon State University, University of Oregon, Reed College, and Lewis and Clark College in addition to director positions with Jefferson High School and Central Catholic High School. Laurie has worked with Westview marching bands and the performance ensemble for several years and is a past member of the performance ensemble herself. Laurie is a graduate of Portland State University and has held the position of Colorguard Captionhead for the Spokane Thunder Drum and Bugle Corps.
