Jazz Band
Westview High School offers two outstanding jazz bands consisting of freshmen through seniors. Members of any of the band classes may sign up to play in the jazz bands. Rehearsals are held before school on weekday mornings. The award-winning ensembles perform several evenings of jazz each year, and compete extensively in jazz festivals throughout the state. Students study jazz theory, improvisational skills, and various styles of jazz and big-band swing. Westview continues to perform and compete at a historically high level. |
