Disney-Related Updates (From Email Blast)

We are still very short in terms of students who have registered for the trip. We need to have an accurate assessment of how many students are going in order to determine how many chaperones we need. To that end, we have set a deadline of NO LATER than Friday, Nov 13th to register for the trip. If you are not registered by that time we will consider you as not traveling to Disneyland. For parents who have requested to be chaperones, if you plan on traveling whether you are a chaperone or not, go ahead and register yourself and we will adjust pricing later. If you are not planning to travel unless you are a chaperone, please hold off registering until we contact you in the week after Nov 13th. Rates for parents who plan to travel but not as chaperones is as follows:

Single occupancy: $1286
Double occupancy: $1072
Triple occupancy: $1000

The single occupancy will be what all paying parents will see when they register. We will adjust this once we get the room assignments to Julie so do not worry if you plan to travel as a couple and you see a bill for $1286 each, it will get adjusted.

Papa Murphy's cards:

We have ordered and paid for 700 cards at this point and all cards have been handed out. We know many kids have still not got a chance to sell cards but we are hesitant to order more at this point. We have received money from only 5 students so far. Tony will be in the band room at 5:30 pm again on Tuesday 11/3 to collect money or returned cards. If your student does not plan to sell the cards that he/she received I'd like to ask that they bring them back and allow others to sell them. We will likely plan to sell these for most of the year so if you'd like to sell cards later in the year that can be arranged. If it looks like we have sold a majority of the cards we will order more. Since each card does cost the band program $1 (we recoup the cost once they are sold) we are hesitant to order too many and then be stuck with cards later on. Thanks for your patience if you have not received cards, you will get your chance.
