BAND CAMP AUGUST 18-29

BAND CAMP STARTS AUGUST 18 as preparations begin for another outstanding year of musical performance for the Westview Wildcat Band and Performance Ensemble. Band camp will be at the school Monday through Friday, August 18-22 from 9 am to 6 pm and August 25-29, from 9 am to 6 pm. The first two days of camp, August 18 & 19, will be for freshmen, section leaders, percussion, and Guard only. The remainder of the days are for all students.

Each day will feature time for stretching and warm-up, conditioning, marching basics, and beginning to learn the music and marching drill for the fall marching show. Students will have a 60-minute lunch break each day.

Traditionally, band camp ends with a brief informal performance for parents at the end of the second Friday of camp. It’s a fun opportunity to see a preview of the fall show, and the students are always proud to demonstrate how much they’ve learned during this intensive 2-week marching boot camp.
